Size: Approximately, one inch in length
Color: Dark brown.
Habits
Earwigs catch and feed on other insects. Typically, they live together
in large numbers often in tree holes, mulch, under wood pilings and any
objects lying on the ground. Earwigs are also found in exterior cracks
of buildings.
This nesting location is conducive to movement into the home itself.
Tips for Control
General tips for limiting infestation:
A professional pest control treatment will resolve the earwig infestation
in the short term. However, for a long term result the exterior nesting
locations require elimination.
